21 and Under Car Rental and California College of the Arts Overview

In order to get a feel of the art movement in the country there is no better place to visit other than the California College of the Arts. With the help of 21 and under car rental, you'll soon find yourself in this prestigious college. There are score of students or interested in studying art or with a fascination of art, who visit the college.

The California College of the Arts is the probably one of the finest art and design institutions apart from being the largest independent, regionally accredited, school of art and design in the western United States, founded in 1907 the college bears testimony to the Arts and Crafts movement that reigned all over the United States.

Highlights of the California College of the Arts

If you want to visit the California College of the Arts, you must decide which campus you want to visit and hire your 21 and under car rental accordingly. The college has two campuses, one in Oakland and the other in San Francisco, California.

Passengers of the 21 and under car rental should know that the college offers undergraduate and graduate majors in the subjects such as fine arts, design, and writing, architecture, curatorial practice and visual criticism. The college also confers, Bachelor of Arts, bachelor of architecture, bachelor of fine arts, master of fine arts, Master of Arts, and master of architecture degrees.

There are about 1,500 undergraduate students in the college. The students enjoy world-class facilities to its students within a private college environment.

The number of students per class is 18 on an average. The faculty is among the best in the world, a group of dedicated to their teaching.

21 and under car rental passengers might be interested in knowing that the college offers six graduate programs. These include, the M.F.A. in writing, the M.F.A. in design, the M.A. in visual criticism, the M.A. in curatorial practice, the M.Arch and the M.F.A. in fine arts.

The fine arts program includes courses in jewelry/metal arts, ceramics, drawing/painting, film/video/performance, textiles, and wood/furniture glass, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

The California College of the Arts is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The CCA undergraduate architecture program is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board while their interior design program is accredited by the Foundation for Interior Design Education Research.

Important information

The San Francisco campus of the California College of the Arts is located in the Bay Area of the city's design district. The Oakland campus, on the other hand is located in a residential neighborhood quite close to the University of Calfornia at Berkeley. The Oakland campus has more of the fine arts facilities of the two campuses.

Most first-year students may find their way here with 21 and under car rental, to the Oakland campus apartments or the Webster Hall where they can put up. Students of the San Francisco campus, enjoy the cultural and recreational activities of the college. They also have access to the Bus and Bay Area Rapid Transit, besides of course the 21 and under car rental.

CCA offers its students the best of facilities, in every sphere. The Oakland campus has a media center, a silkscreen/papermaking facility and an auditorium, while the San Francisco; campus building has model-making, fashion facilities and wood/furniture studios. Graduate students and undergraduate painters have a studio space to themselves.

Drawing studios, painting studios, vertical graphic arts camera, large printing shop with litho presses, etching presses, Vandercook proofing presses, etc are some of the facilities on offer for the students within the campus.
