A quick overview of events
The Carnaval celebration kicks-off the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend with a number of events and activities. Live music is performed on numerous stages, while pavilions are constructed to serve food and drinks. At the center of it all, Customers of Super Cheap San Francisco will find a large dance tent, a children's area called "Ninolandia" and a health and safety booth. And that's just the fun you'll encounter on Saturday! Sunday is devoted almost entirely to the Carnaval Parade, which begins at 9:30am. Parade participants are decked out in their finest costumes, many of which include large feathered wings, jewelled head pieces and bright bikinis.
The parade route
Customers of Super Cheap San Francisco Car Rental are more than welcome to join the parade - provided you have a vibrant enough outfit! If you'd rather sit back and watch from the sideline, that's ok too. The parade route begins at the corner of 24th and Bryant streets, where it proceeds west down Mission Street. Customers of Super Cheap San Francisco Car Rental can watch as the parade snakes north along Mission, eventually turning east onto 17the Street where it will flow into the main festival area.

The concept of Carnaval was conceived some 30 years ago by a group of local musicians, artists and residents eager to bring some Latin and Caribbean culture to the Streets of San Francisco. Today, the Carnaval is produced by the Mission Neighbourhood Centers, Inc. and is supported by San Francisco's Grants for the Arts. Customers of Super Cheap San Francisco Car Rental are encouraged to come out and participate in the festivities all weekend long. For more information on this year's celebration, please visit the official Carnaval website at www.carnavalsf.com.
