A quick history of the Cartoon Museum
The Cartoon Museum began as a useum without walls.?In 1985, a group of cartoon and animation enthusiasts began hosting exhibitions using their own artwork at various locations throughout San Francisco. It wasn't until 1987 that the Cartoon Museum became a permanent fixture, thanks in part to a generous endowment from Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz. Since opening their doors more than 25-plus years ago, the Cartoon Art Museum has entertained millions of San Francisco car rental vacationers with some 100 exhibits and 20 publications.

Support the Cartoon Art Museum
There are many ways that San Francisco car rental travelers can support the Cartoon Art Museum. Simply visiting the museum is the first step. Basic memberships are $25; there are eight membership levels to choose from. Portions of the proceeds generated from the Cartoon Art Museum gift shop are also donated back to the museum.
Hours and directions to the Cartoon Art Museum
San Francisco car rental travelers are invited to visit the Cartoon Art Museum Tuesdays through Sunday from 11am to 5pm. The museum is closed on Mondays, as well as on the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Admission to the Museum is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors, $3 for children, and absolutely free for children under the age of five.
