Creativity Explored
Creativity Explored is a non-profit visual arts center where people with developmental disabilities can create, exhibit, and sell art. Their goal is to assist people with developmental disabilities to integrate into visual arts activities for the community.
Center history
Creativity Explored was founded in 1983 on the principle that all people have the ability to create and that visual arts is a means to self-growth. When you visit with your car rental San Francisco, you will find that people working are talented artists that are making a difference. The second studio here opened in 1995 to provide adults with severe disabilities an opportunity to create art. They currently have a number of programs available for the community, including studio arts programs, community arts program, guest artists program, and exhibitions. The center is mainly funded through fees paid by the Golden Gate Regional Center to purchase services. Some income comes from the sale of original art and art products such as t-shirts, note cards, books, DVDs, and other things. They also receive grants for specific initiatives. When you buy art, the profit is shared equally by the artist and Creativity Explored.
