LAX Car Rental and Exposition Park

Stop and smell the roses, watch history come alive, or catch some of the world's best sporting events. In Exposition Park, you can take part in these activities and much more. Located across the street from the University of Southern California in University Park, Exposition Park is the perfect destination on your LAX car rental vacation. Visit the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, the California Science Center, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, California African American Museum, or the Exposition Park Rose Garden. The 160-acre park was opened in 1909 and has since been the site to some of Los Angeles' biggest events including two Olympic Games, NCAA football, and a visit by the Pope. A trip to Exposition Park with your LAX car rental is well worth the drive.

It's your turn to carry the torch

As you walk through Exposition Park, keep your eyes peeled for the world famous torch. The Olympic Cauldron was built for the city's two Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984. The torch is still lit today during the 4th quarter of each USC football game. You can also find the torch lit in remembrance of others such as after the death of Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II, and after the September 11th attacks. A visit to the Olympic Cauldron with your LAX car rental is a great way to pay your respect to these individuals. Most notably however, the torch is the symbol of the Olympic Games. Exposition Park was home to the opening and closing ceremonies of both Los Angeles Olympic Games as well as the track and field events.

Go Wild for the Natural History Museum

Home to over 33 million artifacts and specimens, the Natural History Museum is a must see for any LAX car rental customer. Founded in 1910, the Museum has grown to be one of North America's finest destinations for nature and history lovers alike. View dinosaurs, African mammals, prehistoric societies, gold and more. At only $9 per adult and $6.50 for seniors, students, and children, the Natural History Museum is a bargain. If you plan your LAX car rental vacation at the beginning of the month, the Museum is free on the first Tuesday of each month. So get down to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles in Exposition Park.

The Hands On experience you've been looking for

A visit to Exposition Park with LAX car rental is a vacation in itself. With so much to do, you might not want to leave. With a visit to the West Coasts largest hands on Science Center, you'll have the unique opportunity to interact with the exhibits. Walk through the World of Life or Creative World exhibits. With many amazing permanent exhibits, the Science Center is a great place to spend an afternoon or the entire day. If you're traveling on a budget, the permanent exhibits at the Science Center are absolutely free! Once you've spent some time at the hands on exhibits, let your other senses experience the IMAX theatre. The seven-story screen is the largest in Los Angeles and brings the big screen to life. Don't miss your chance to visit the Science Center and IMAX Theatre on your next LAX car rental vacation.

Explore the rest of the Park

With so much to do in Exposition Park, you may never want to leave. Park your LAX car rental and prepare for a day to remember. Why not stop by the California African American Museum? The 44000 square foot museum includes multiple exhibition galleries, a theatre, sculptures, and a research library. The thousands of artifacts will take you on a journey through African American history and culture. If you're a sports fan, paint your face and take in a USC Trojans Football game. For a more relaxing evening, take a stroll through the Exposition Park Rose Garden or jump in and cool off at the Los Angeles Swim Stadium.
