LAX Car Rental and the Guinness World Record Museum

From the worlds fastest and largest, to the smallest and oldest, the Guinness World Record Museum has it all. Don't be afraid to dream of what you could do. As you walk through the World Record Museum and view so many amazing accomplishments, it's ok to dream big. On your next LAX car rental vacation, step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary at the Guinness Museum. Watch these records come to life through sound effects, video, computers, and life size replicas. With LAX car rental, you're never far from another great Los Angeles attraction. Displays inside the Guinness World Record Museum include a wide variety of topics including animals, eating, sports, and architecture.

Find your way into the record books

As you're driving the streets of Los Angeles in your LAX car rental, don't be surprised if you see a star or two. A stop at the Guinness Museum is similar. You'll have the chance to see exhibits on many of the world's most amazing record holders. Located at 6764 Hollywood Boulevard, the Guinness World Record Museum isn't hard to find. The Museum is found only a half block east of the Chinese Theatre and across from the street from the Hollywood Wax Museum. Open daily from 10am to midnight, admission prices vary from $12.95 for adults, to $6.95 for students. The next time you're in Hollywood, stop by the Guinness World Record Museum with your LAX car rental.

You won't believe your eyes

Don't waste another minute! Head over to the Guinness World Record Museum with LAX car rental. Feast your eyes on the amazing displays and prepare to be astounded. Here is a list of just a few of the phenomenal record holders you'll see:

  • The World's Tallest Man: Robert Wadlow stood 8 ft 11 inches.
  • The World's Heaviest Man: Robert Hughes topped the scale at 1069 pounds. With a large scale in the Museum, you can compare the combined weight of your LAX car rental travel companions with Mr. Hughes whopping mass.
  • World's Fastest Animal: The Cheetah can run a remarkable 63 Mph across flat plains.
  • The Largest Jack O'Lantern: Imagine being spooked on Halloween by this 1,469-pound pumpkin.
  • The Most Poisonous Animal: If you thought the world's deadliest animal would be a shark or snake, think again. The Poison Arrow Frog of the tropical rainforest is the world's most poisonous animal.

It wouldn't be Hollywood without the stars

Along with all of the amazing records of the natural world, the Guinness World Record Museum in Los Angeles also highlights Hollywood. They might not be the same stars you see driving the streets with LAX car rental, but the Museum houses some of the worlds biggest celebrities. Life size statues of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson stand in the Museum. Both individuals actually hold a unique world record. You can also find displays dedicated to Indiana Jones, Mickey Mouse, and Superman. The Hollywood flare doesn't stop at the doors of the Guinness World Record Museum. Your LAX car rental vacation is only beginning when you enter the Guinness World Record Museum.

Welcome to the oldest Theatre in Hollywood

Although it isn't used as a theatre anymore, the building that is now known as the Guinness World Record Museum was once home to classic movies. The Hollywood Theatre is now preserved as a National Register Landmark. Built in 1938, it is hard to see the classic architecture of the building. The new Guinness World Record Museum marquee hides most of the original building. However, most Hollywood locals are happy that the once storied building is again in use. Renovated in 1994 for the Guinness World Record Museum, the old Hollywood Theatre is again home to the starsor at least the world's greatest record holders.
