Discount Car Rentals and Melrose Avenue

As you are walking along the streets of Hollywood on your upcoming discount car rental vacation, you decide to go to one of the most famous streets around. You set foot on Melrose Avenue and it's almost magical. You can seriously understand what all the hype is about when you look down the street at all of the treasures and experiences before you. You start off on your way down the street and you pass by restaurants and shops and comedy clubs. You decide next, to go into a restaurant and have a meal because what kind of a trip would it be if you didn't have some lunch on Melrose Avenue? You enter a restaurant called "Patina" because you have heard that this is one of the most popular restaurants for the celebrities to gather at. You order yourself some food, waiting to see a celebrity just so you can say you saw one. You eat your meal and your bill is on its way. You are somewhat disappointed that you didn't get to see anyone famous. It's finally your chance to make things happen, discount car rental customers, and you don't see anyone you recognize. As you get up from your table and are about to leave and venture the street a little more, you see someone come in who looks familiar. You get a bit closer and you realize that, yes, it is Sarah Jessica Parker! Should you ask for an autograph? Would she be willing to take time out of her lunch schedule to sign a piece of paper for you? You decide that this is a once in a lifetime chance and you go over to her. She signs an autograph for you and you are the happiest person alive. This experience can happen at, no other than Melrose Avenue.

Shops, Shops, Shops Galore!

If you decide to talk a walk down Melrose Avenue on your upcoming discount car rental trip, you will not be disappointed. Melrose Avenue runs north of Beverly Boulevard and south of Santa Monica Boulevard. This street has many great restaurants and shops for its visitors and it is popular among those who are hoping for a star sighting. Some of the most popular places to visit along Melrose are Patina, Fred Segal, The Improv and The Bohdi Tree. Melrose Avenue is a place to see and be seen. You can be discovered for anything anywhere, but you have the best chance of that along Melrose. This street is a great pedestrian area and perfect for those just looking to take a stroll along the neighborhood. Melrose is just rows and rows of trendy boutiques and unique storefronts that are decked out with fluorescent colors so you won't miss them. Aside from the clothing stores and restaurants, this street also offers night spots. There are shops that sell things like records, Disney items, books and antiques. Be sure to visit Melrose on your future discount car rental vacation and pick up a souvenir that will bring back memories forever.

The Best View in Town

If you are just in the mood to sit and watch the passers by on your discount car rental trip, there is no better place then Melrose. Melrose Avenue is truly a people-watching street. You can look at who hangs out with what crowd and learn a little bit more about the people around you. Most people say the Saturday afternoon is the best time to people-watch because this is when the stylish crowds are the largest. Sundays, though, aren't recommended for people-watching since the action is a bit slower. To really appreciate what Melrose Avenue is and all it has to offer, you have to do it on foot. Take a walk down Melrose Avenue for a one of a kind adventure.
