How it all began
It all began with Edward Galland Zelinksy, at 11 years old he won a prize during a bingo game. The grand prize was five quarts of motor oil which Zelinsky promptly sold to his piano teacher for 75 cents to buy a penny skill game from the Golden Gate Avenue area. From the profit he earned from the game he bought more equipment from the same area eventually adding time slot machines, a Charley Fay Liberty Bell slot machine, and other collector items. Prior to 2002, the Musee Mecanique was actually housed in the lower level of the Cliff House restaurant at Ocean Beach.
