The Building

  • Enrique Martinez Celaya: Works on Paper
    This prolific arrangement of works documents Celeayas exciting career, showcasing some of his best drawings and paintings. An intimate instillation of more than 20 pieces, the Enrique Martinez Celaya: Woks on Paper will be on display until March of 2006. Celaya is a Los-Angeles based painter, sculptor, writer, poet and photographer.
  • Baseball As America
    The ultimate baseball exhibit this side of Cooperstown, NY the Baseball As America display examines the lifelong relationship between the national pastime and American culture. Organized in conjunction with the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, the Baseball As America display marks the first time that many of the iconic objects have left their legendary home in New York. Open until January 22nd in the museums Great Hall.

Permanent Displays and Collections

  • The Gallery of California Art
    Selections from the Museums diverse collection of art include over 600 works of photography, media, painting, print and sculptor. Installations trace the development of artistic expression in California from the earl 1800s to present day. Collections permanent display can be found in the Art Department on the museums third level.
  • California: A Place, A People, A Dream
    This permanent exhibit houses the most extensive array of materials related to Californias complex history, providing San Francisco rent a car travelers with access to over 6,000 major artifacts and documents. Housed in the Cowell Hall of California History on the museums second level.
  • Walk Across California
