A neighborhood located in the northwest corner of San Francisco, it lies north of Golden Gate Park. The Richmond District, which was once dominated by Jewish and Irish Americans soon gave way to Chinese Americans in this area after a change in the US immigration law in 1965. Some other places to take a look at also include Cliff House restaurant. You can dine in this great historic building while having a magnificent view of the ocean. If youre looking for something more upscale with the view of the ocean the Beach Chalet is the place to go.

The Presidio This national park has military buildings dating back from 1848 ranging from styles that include the Spanish Colonial and Georgian. Also home to rare birds and animals.
