When you get off the tram you are in the wilderness of Long Valley and Mount San Jacinto State Park. There are nature walks, a burro ride, or even play in the snow in the winter. If you would like to go back-country hiking, you will require a permit from the U.S. Forest Service. There are also two restaurants up here, so enjoy the view and have a great lunch. On a clear day you can see all the way to Mount Charleston in Las Vegas!
