San Diego International Auto Show
The cars are the stars at the annual San Diego International Auto Show, located inside the San Diego Convention Center in the city’s downtown. Recognized as one of the industry’s hottest events, the San Diego International Auto Show highlights hundreds of new-model vehicles, concept cars, exotics and specialty automotives. Get your tickets to the show
San Francisco car rental travelers can avoid long lines at the San Diego International Auto Show by purchasing their tickets online through the new e-ticket checkout. E-ticket holders are granted access to the show via their own special entrance, ensure quick, convenient access. To purchase e-tickets, log onto the official San Diego International Auto Show website at www.sdautoshow.com and click on the e-ticket link. Tickets cost just $10 for adults, $7 for military personnel with ID and seniors, and $6 for children ages 7-12. Children six and under are admitted to the show free of charge.
Directions to the San Diego Convention Center and the Auto Show
The San Diego International Auto Show is hosted by the San Diego Convention Center. San Francisco car rental travelers will find the Convention Center located at 111 West Harbor Drive, about three miles from the San Diego International Airport. If you’re headed to the show from San Francisco, Super Cheap recommends taking Interstate 5 South. Follow the interstate until you reach the Front Street exit. Exit, and continue on Front Street until you reach Harbor Drive. Hang a left onto Harbor and then simply follow the signage to the parking entrance. There are over 1,950 onsite parking spots located inside the underground parking garage at the Convention Center. The daily rate is $10; however, this often increases during special events. Payment is due upon entry and there are no in and out privileges.
Exhibit hours
San Francisco car rental travelers can catch the San Diego International Auto Show during the last week of December / first week of January. The auto show runs for five days and includes a number of special events. Doors normally open on the last Wednesday of the month at 10am. Show hours run between 10am and 9pm for the duration of the show. Hoping to catch the entire auto show during your trip down from San Francisco?
