Sunset Strip Music Festival
The Sunset Strip Music Festival is an event that takes place at the end of August each year that you can visit with your Los Angeles car rental. This is a street festival that hosts free shows during the day and evening for you to enjoy.
What to expect
When you are here with your Los Angeles rental car, you will find there are two outdoor stages at the Sunset Strip Music Festival when you are here. They take over the Strip between Doheny Drive and San Vincente Boulevard from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. during the festival. There are also events held in some of the venues along the Strip in venues such as the Cat Club, Key Club, Roxy Theatre, and Whisky A Go-Go. More than 50 bands will perform over the course of the festival. Bands that have performed in the past include The Smashing Pumpkins, Slash, Neon Trees, and many more. General admission includes access to the festival and the clubs within the enclosure. There are also VIP tickets which includes all of the above as well as access to a private VIP lounge with seating and bar. General admission is $49.50 in advance or $65 at the gate. The VIP tickets are $100 for one day or $250 for 3 days. A portion of the tickets sales will benefit local charities. Passholders will be given priority access to all of the clubs within the venue during the festival, but entrance is on a first come, first served basis. Get there early if there is a show you would like to see!
