San Francisco Theatre Flamenco is currently celebrating its 44th season, making it the second oldest dance company in the Bay Area. The Theatre was founded in 1966 by Adela Clara, and was the first American dance company to stage full Spanish dance productions in the United States. Theatre Flamenco works to present an education of Spanish dance including classical, neo-classical, regional, folk, and escuela bolero.
